I finally gave in and went for a manicure and pedicure. I love getting pampered as much as the next girl, but finding the time is always a problem. Since we were hosting a little party this past weekend, I thought I would give some extra love to my hands and feet and get one. I usually bring along one of my favorite polishes from our shop, but I decided to try something different. I was excited when I  found a cute little tangerine color and some glitter to change things up. My regular nail lady was booked so I just went with the flow and went with the next available. First mistake!  I will admit I usually don’t have a ton of patience except when getting treats like this, however I was there FOREVER! It looked decent enough and I headed home. Not 4 hours later I started noticing chips.

As I mentioned before we sell nail polish.  This nail polish usually lasts me about 6- 8 days without a chip or top coat. I learned my lesson and am now stocking up in new colors. If you are anything like me you can’t stand wasting money or your time. Try this polish out, there are several different colors available. I think you will love it!

Can you tell by my posts that I absolutely love Christmas?  With Christmas just over a month away, I’ve already started eyeing gifts (for myself and friends).  I love giving and receiving unique stocking stuffers! This year, I’m all about classic staples (with a playful twist) that will stand the test of time.   I’ve put together a list of unique stocking stuffers that the ladies in your life will love!

1. Nail Polish!  Many unique colors to choose from.  I love Roja!  This color screams Christmas to me.  I love playing the part of any holiday so this is a must have. Plus these make unique stocking stuffers, especially with the cool cork top bottle!

Food for Thought….how to create your own handmade accessories!

I love reading fashion blogs and stumbling upon cool handmade accessories. A few months back I came across Cupcakes and Cashmere and became obsessed. She blogs about everything and anything from advice and outfits to cooking and home décor. Her latest blog regarding handmade accessories and brooches really inspired me to be more creative and not just with making brooches, but being more creative with fashion as a whole. I love how she bought these brooches at the flea market and created a masterpiece with nail polish. Stay tuned as I might just have to try something similar out using our amazing and colorful Megan Miller Nail Polish.

We put Megan Miller Nail Polish to a TEST and it passed with flying COLORS!!!!

As I mentioned about a month ago in my post called Something Polished, we just started carrying Megan Miller Nail Polish. A friend of mine ranted and raved about how it lasted 8 days. I of course jumped on board because, face it ladies we all love going and getting a manicure but hate that within a day or so its looks terrible. Never the less, I am an extreme skeptic. What’s hot for fall? Every year, thousands of women scour through magazines and search online to find out what’s hot for fall.  Vogue’s September issue is one of their most popular issues because of the fall and winter introductions. If you think about it, fall and winter purchases tend to be more expensive…that is why many tend to research must haves before they make purchases. Pretty true… boots and jackets are pricier than buying simple flip flops and sun dresses.

After just placing our first fall order, I wanted to see what some of the predictions were.  Here is what I found… lots of safari/military inspired styles to include green and camel hues.  Animal prints, animal fur, leather and feathers are all what’s hot for fall. Also 50’s and 60’s inspired wear. Red lips, fuller skirts, kitten heels and clutches are in. Look for tops or jackets with collars on them!
