Happy New Year from ChiChi Collections!

2012 was an amazing year. There were many personal, professional and family milestones that we accomplished this year. We have loved being able to share many of these moments with our supporters. We are so grateful for all of your support and we are even more excited about even bigger things to come in 2013. Happy New Year from us to you!

This past Friday evening was extra warm, yet strangely breezy! We decided to head off to a Fish Fry for some good eats! It was a casual evening but I have been wanting to wear this statement necklace that we received at ChiChi Collections a few weeks ago. I have also been loving stripes lately and decided to pair this old stripe top with this statement necklace and loved that it gave the illusion it was all one piece.

The other day I was browsing around Facebook (I admit it, but don’t we all on occasion) and came across my friend Tiffany wearing a dress from ChiChi Collections to a wedding.  Tiffany and I used to do a lot of volunteer work for the Boys & Girls Clubs together, but unfortunately we haven’t had much of a chance to get together lately.

I tell ya, it is so much fun to come across friends wearing and supporting  my online clothing boutique. I am like a kid at Christmas, I  get so excited. It’s truly a cool feeling!  Of course I had to ask her if I could use these photo to share them. One of my favorite things to do is shop and help others shop! I think that is why I love when we get to host a trunk show after a ladies luncheon and golf outing.  We were so honored when a local Country Club asked us to host a trunk show for a group of 80 women after their member/guest golf outing! It is so much fun when we get to step out from behind our desk and join in on the energy and excitement of these types of events. I have to pinch myself to remind myself that this is my work.

So I am heading off to Colorado for some skiing and fun with some friends this weekend. As I have mentioned before, I grew up in Chicago and lived in the Midwest until 2007 and haven’t been back to see snow since New Years 2008. With that being said, I obviously have rid myself of most of my warm clothes and am in need of some fashionable winter clothes. I guess I am a Florida girl now which means I have nothing to keep me warm for this trip. I have now become so used to 80 degree weather that even when it dips in the 60′s I am freezing! One of the many perks of owning your own boutique means easy access to shopping for fashionable winter clothes that will help get me prepared for anything, especially freezing temps.

Here are a few fashionable winter clothes that I think I need to pack with me on my trip…

Fur Fashionable Vest: This vest will be great to layer over a long sleeve shirt or sweater. It’s soft, heavy and will be versatile which is a must have since I need to keep my packing light.

Date Night Thermal Top: I love this top!  Not only will I be able to wear this here on chilly nights in Florida but this is perfect for layering up to ski and also so cute that I can wear it out at night with cute boots and a jacket.

Rudolph’s Best Friend Leggings: I can’t wait to wear these leggings. I decided these would be perfect for the day we leave. They are so cute and comfortable and will be great for the plane ride and car ride to where we are staying. I am going to just pair these with a brown tunic top and my uggs.

2011 was such a wonderful year! I always find the holidays fly by with a blink of the eye. I always like to find time after all the celebrations to reflect on the past year! For me, 2011 will always be a year to remember as it was  full of amazing memories with family and friends. A few of my favorite events were my wedding day, building our new home and the launch of ChiChi Collections.

We finally launched our website in May of 2011!  Looking back it was a mere dream of ours that became a reality.  Like any new business, each month can be trying, but we are continuing to grow and grow. We are so blessed for our loyal customers and look forward to what 2012 has to offer. The New Year brings with it lots of promise, exciting new adventures and many many new arrivals!
