3 Simple Steps to Choosing a Handbag
There was a time in my life when choosing a handbag used to seem effortless. I figured a girl needed one favorite handbag and one favorite handbag only. Wow was I wrong!
You see, the right handbag can either make an outfit or unfortunately break an outfit. You wouldn’t bring a clutch on a flight for your vacation, just as you wouldn’t carry your oversized tote on a girls night out.
Follow these 3 simple steps to choosing a handbag and you will be ready for whatever your day make hold!
1. Consider the occasion: First, where are you going? A party, work, the park?
2. Know the purpose: What is the purpose of carrying your handbag? Do you need to bring along the entire house or just need to throw in a few small essentials?
3. Coordinate colors: Lastly, once you’ve narrowed down the occasion and purpose…it’s time to coordinate your handbag to your outfit.
Now that we’ve explained these 3 simples steps to choosing a handbag, here are a few different examples:
The Shopper
You are headed to a business meeting with the boss! Grab the shopper because this handbag screams sophistication, yet has a cute edgy look. It has just enough room for your essentials and will compliment that black suit you are sporting!
The Clutch
You may be a lover of all things oversized (like myself) but I have learned not to let a large bag overpower my outfit. Go big whenever you’d like to store all your goodies, but for evenings out on the town a clutch is the right decision. The clutch is designed to be tucked and held underneath your arm. Pair this cutie floral fold over clutch when you’re dressed in your favorite outfit – a perfectly fitted LBD worn with a boxy blazer and velvet pumps…so you can show the world your extraordinary fashion!
The Oversized Tote
The oversized tote is a true essential in the world of handbags, especially for a mom on the go. The oversized tote bag typically has a large open top with two straps. Grab this when you are headed to the park with the kiddies for the day! Fashionable, yet practical.
Remember to think of these 3 simple steps to choosing a handbag next time you are standing in your closet debating which one to choose!
