The Oscars are one of the most glamorous night of the year! Trends were set, hairstyles will be copied and looks will become a part of fashion history. This year’s Oscar Red Carpet did not let us down. We saw light, nude and pale tones and whites that wowed!
By far my favorite was first on the red carpet, Jessica Chastain. She wore a nude, sparkly Armani prive gown that looked amazing. Her pop of red on her lips was the perfect decision. We saw so many others dressed in neutral colors like Octavia Spencer, Amy Adams and Anne Hathaway. It is said we will see a lot of neutral colors through the spring and summer months.
I also loved when Jane Fonda hit the red carpet last night. She wore a yellow Versace Couture gown that was bold and incredibly beautiful. If you tend to stay neutral try adding a pop of color for a fun and bold look.
Metallic was all over the red carpet last night and was considered the new black. Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry and Naomi Watts all stunned us in this shade. They truly looked like the movie stars they are!
Who were your favorites on the Red Carpet?
I have to admit I like bows on everything…from my home decor to my wardrobe. Over the years I have increased the amount of bows that surround me and I love it. I adore having my towels wrapped so beautifully with little bows around my home and pride myself in spending the extra time to make sure each Christmas present has its own unique bow. The list goes on to include my blouses, hair accessories and now my heels. With all the being said, it is not a huge surprise that I blog about bows. Especially the inspiration of this bow blog, which are these amazing black bow heels that I picked up over the weekend. Simply Perfect!
It’s not a personal obsession either, because ChiChi Collections also loves bows.
Here are a few of our favorites!
This bow blouse is perfect with a pencil skirt, high-waisted trousers or with skinny jeans. We also love this bow dress as it is going to be my go to for the Holidays. I love how the top is pretty conservative, but the bottom material allows you to the length yet show some leg!
What is your favorite way to wear bows?
I am in love with all things that are Glitter and Sparkle. Who isn’t? Sparkly Diamonds, Shoes and Shirts Oh My!
I came across this quote on Pinterest a while back and have always loved it. I am sure it can be interpreted many different ways, which is what is so powerful about it. For me, it is all about loving and being true to yourself and never letting anyone take that away from you. What does it mean to you?
While in St. Louis my Mother In-Law gave me these glitter shoes from Ann Taylor and I was in heaven. They are the perfect addition to my wardrobe and simply stunning!
Here are some other items that are on my must have “glitter and sparkle” list!
This jacket is one of my other favorite items that sparkles oh so bright! It is a lightweight chiffon jacket trimmed with sparkly sequins.
I also LOVE this shirt as it has been on my list for a little while now. The holidays are fast approaching and that always means lots of holiday parties and dressing up.

I came across this stunning photo of Blake Lively from Glamour magazine and had to share. She looks amazingly beautiful in polka dots! There is something about getting all dolled up that makes us women feel beautiful and I love it.
This tulle dress from Chi Chi Collections has that same effect for me. It make me smile and feel pretty!
Do you have a bunch of old sweaters in your closet that you know you’ll never wear again? Well why not recycle them into unique gift wrap. Your friends and family will be amazed at what a unique gift wrapping idea this is. I can’t wait to try this diy gift wrapping idea out this holiday season!
To create unique gift wrap similar to the first photo, simply cut off the arm of an old sweater and slide the box through so it fits nice and snug. Tie the remaining sweater into a bow and you have a unique gift wrapped present! In the second photo, just use a panel of your old sweater for a different look.
Do you know of any other unique gift wrapping ideas? Please share!!
I saw this table setting and it immediately made me think of this adorable mustard colored neck tie from ChiChi Collections. I am in love with all things in a yellow mustard hue. This scarf can be worn as just that, a scarf or tied up in your hair. The polka dots add the sweetest touch. Don’t tell my husband because even the word “Mustard” disgusts him.
