The holidays have come and gone, yet the winter weather is still among us. My husband was back in St. Louis this past weekend where the weather was chilly and snowy. He sent me a few pictures of the snow covered ground and it reminded me that although I do miss the seasons, I do not miss the snow.
As you are trying to stay warm, yet stylish this winter here are a few of my favorites from ChiChi Collections.
Stay warm and fashionable all winter long!
The Oscars are one of the most glamorous night of the year! Trends were set, hairstyles will be copied and looks will become a part of fashion history. This year’s Oscar Red Carpet did not let us down. We saw light, nude and pale tones and whites that wowed!
By far my favorite was first on the red carpet, Jessica Chastain. She wore a nude, sparkly Armani prive gown that looked amazing. Her pop of red on her lips was the perfect decision. We saw so many others dressed in neutral colors like Octavia Spencer, Amy Adams and Anne Hathaway. It is said we will see a lot of neutral colors through the spring and summer months.
I also loved when Jane Fonda hit the red carpet last night. She wore a yellow Versace Couture gown that was bold and incredibly beautiful. If you tend to stay neutral try adding a pop of color for a fun and bold look.
Metallic was all over the red carpet last night and was considered the new black. Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry and Naomi Watts all stunned us in this shade. They truly looked like the movie stars they are!
Who were your favorites on the Red Carpet?
There is something about lace that makes a girl feel pretty! I love to incorporate different types of fabric into an outfit to give it some depth. Layers are a must trend.
Here are a few of my favorite lace items:
This Blissful in Lace Scarf is a personal favorite and a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe. It features a 3D rose on one side that makes it one of a kind. This lace scarf takes your plain jeans, tee and blazer outfit to the next level and creates a touch of romance when paired with that silky tunic, leggings and booties you’ve been waiting to wear. Life is blissful!
This Lovely Lace Tunic is a winner as well. You will be captivated by this light pink tunic’s lovely lace and ruffle detailing at the bodice, you immediately pair it with a vintage slip, leggings, and patent T-straps creating the cutest combination.
Not sure how you feel about a lot of lace? Try this Sheer Love Tunic Top. This sheer heart blouse looks stunning. The tiny white hearts pitter-patter all over this lovely sheer long sleeve top and the most adorable lace trim will make your heart flutter too. Try coupling this look with your fav skinnies and vanilla flats and you’ll have everyone falling in love.
Does lace make you feel pretty?
Mint Jeans…Yay or Nay?
I can’t help but love the pastel trend, especially mint jeans. I see it everywhere and although I do not live in a cold climate it still makes me look forward to spring and summer. These hues feel like such a breath of fresh air.
I have been trying for the last year to incorporate more colors into my wardrobe and weed out some of the black and this trend is making it so easy!
I recently added a mint cardigan and a few other pastel tops to my wardrobe and I absolutely adore them, although when it comes to bottoms that is another story. I often try on mint jeans or other light hued jeans as I love this trend but they look terrible on me. I am not sure what my issue is with these lighter hued jeans because I love the idea of color jeans and have a pair of bordeaux jeans that I basically could live in. It’s so disappointing to me that something is standing between me and purchasing a pair of mint jeans.
How do you feel about mint jeans? Do you think you are too old to wear mint jeans? Are they for ladies of all ages? If you do love them…where did you get yours?
What to wear for Valentine’s Day?
Valentines Day is fast approaching and having the perfect valentine’s day outfit is important to many women. On a day that is centered around love it is always fun to get a little extra dressed up in celebration.
Although, there is a lot of hype around the day and many choose to dine out, my husband and I usually prefer a quiet night in. We spend the evening making homemade heart shaped pizzas and drink wine and just enjoy each other’s company. For those of you who have big plans to head out and need some suggestions on what to wear, here is my favorite Valentine’s Day dress from ChiChi Collections.
This valentine’s day dress is as sweet as dessert. A blend of beautiful pink, snow white and gray tiered layers create a tantalizing treat. This tulle dress features a nipped waist and stretch detail bust for an amazing fit. You’ll also find a side zip closure on this tulle dress. Partner this tulle dress with some velvet pumps for a perfectly delish look that is perfect for Valentines Day!
What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?
This past weekend was spent being surrounded by my amazing friends and family in celebration of my 30th Birthday. My family put together an incredible party all from pins on my Pinterest board. From the food to the decor, everything was simply perfect. It was a wonderful evening that I will never forget. Just to be sure here are just a few of the photos from the evening’s celebrations.
P.S. You can find Jodie’s gorgeous purple bauble necklace here.
Winterizing Summer Dresses!
If you are anything like me, you have a million summer dresses that just sit and take up space during the winter months. It’s funny because as much as the temps stay pretty warm here in Florida I still don’t ever feel right pulling out a summer styled dress and wearing it in the winter. That’s where winterizing summer dresses comes into play!
Lately, I have seen a few photos that inspired me to winterize my summer dresses. I simply pair my dress such as here and here with tights, a blazer and booties as shown below to create the perfect ensemble for chilly days. By adding these items back in my wardrobe during the winter I expand my options as well as loose the guilt of only wearing them a few months a year.

Bauble necklaces are still popular as ever here at ChiChi Collections and frankly they are seen everywhere. Recently I was watching Good Morning America and I was drawn to Lara. She looked amazing in Emerald and sported a beautiful green bauble necklace that was a few shades lighter. I love how it played up such a simple top and created such a stunning outfit. ChiChi Collections stocks some amazing bauble necklaces in many different hues that will help you accessorize any outfit. Below is a picture of our mint bauble necklace, but it’s also available in OLIVE GREEN, ROSE, ORANGE, PURPLE

Sometimes words are just not enough. Beauty seems to be captured perfectly in these photos. I had no intention of picking all glamorous dresses, but there is something special in these photos. Plus there is some extraordinary beautiful feeling women get when they are all dressed up. Right?
Enjoy these glamorous dresses!
I woke up the other morning to a chilly 50 degrees! Brrr…if you are living in a cooler climate, I am sorry. The past few weeks here in Florida have been record highs for us. I always love when cooler temps find us, but my body is just not used to it.
As I mentioned I do enjoy these cooler temps because it allows me to break out some of my favorite “Winter” pieces.
This Date Night Thermal is my go-to on the weekends. It looks adorable with a great pair of skinnies and booties. The color is actually a bit lighter than it appears in the picture and couldn’t be more wonderful. Plus it’s now on sale!
This Frills for Fall Jacket has been my favorite for a long time! I love using it as a layer piece with a great pair of skinnies or leggings and tall boots. Cute right? This piece is also on Sale!
Tonight we have big plans to celebrate my husband’s birthday with family and I am thrilled to pull out my favorites for this chilly weather. Ok fine, it’s not that cold…but I like to think that it is. #missingchicago
