I love to dress up a t’shirt. A comfortable t’shirt can be worn for many different occasions.  I am a big fan of dressing up t’shirts with pencil skirts. I wore this tee (currently sold out), this necklace and a black pencil skirt to a meeting the other day and loved that I was able to dress up my super comfortable t’shirt!  The key to dressing up a t’shirt is to wear dressier bottoms, pair with a statement necklace or throw on a blazer for a more polished look.

The past few weeks have been a blur, so my husband and I headed out for a little quality time together this past weekend. I wore this dress (old), belt (old), Aldo wedges and this ocean blue necklace from ChiChi Collections. This ocean blue necklace is the perfect necklace for summer!  It features a variety of shades of blue, silver accents and wood accents. I loved how my ocean blue necklace pulled all the colors in my outfit together.

This past weekend we celebrated our Mom’s Birthday and prepared a nice little dinner for her. I made this appetizer which came from one of my favorite blog’s that I follow religiously. How Sweet Eats. Check it out!

This appetizer was really yummy! Here is the recipe for this White Pizza Dip.  Enjoy!

White Pizza Dip

serves about 6-8

1 pint grape tomatoes, tomatoes cut in half

1 teaspoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 1/2 (12 ounces) blocks cream cheese, softened

8 ounces mozzarella cheese, freshly grated

8 ounces provolone cheese, freshly grated ( I used Monterey Jack)

1/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese + more for garnish

4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed

1/4 cup freshly chopped basil leaves

2 tablespoons freshly chopped thyme leaves

1/2 tablespoon freshly chopped oregano leaves

crackers, bread or chips for serving ( also served with baked Pita Bread)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil then place tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with olive oil and salt, then roast for 20-25 minutes, until bursting. Set aside.

While tomatoes are roasting, mix softened cream cheese with about 7 ounces each of provolone and mozzarella, then and parmesan. Stir in fresh herbs, garlic and roasted tomatoes, mixing well to combine. Transfer mixture to an oven-safe baking dish (mine was 6 x 4 round). Sprinkle with remaining provolone and mozzarella. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until top is golden and bubbly. Serve immediately with crackers, chip or toasted bread.

I have been so lucky to meet so many of my husband’s wonderful friends from throughout his life and Emily is one of them. Brad went to college with her back in St. Louis and has kept in touch ever since. Emily and her wonderful family visit Florida once a year and it’s always a blast to get together with them.

Sometimes us girls are in desperate need of our girls and some good quality girl time. Our friends try to plan a girls night once a month or so just to get out and spend time together. This past weekend we went out for some dinner and hit up this new dueling piano bar in town. It was a blast!

When we first started blogging I had no idea what to do. I had never been a great writer or really ever showed much interest in it, but knew it was a great avenue to share ChiChi Collections with the world. As time when on I found that not only did I like blogging, I loved it. I felt it was a great avenue to share our passions, which ultimately are fashion and food.

Along my journey, I gained a lot of inspiration from other bloggers. Two of my personal favorite are Cupcakes and Cashmere and How Sweet It Is.  I read their blogs religiously and find their posts fascinating. These two people have so much passion for what they do it’s incredible and it shows.
