It’s no secret that tribal chic is in right now! From the runway to everyday looks, African-inspired accessories and animal-print outfits are popping up everywhere. Pleats are one of my favorite trends right now. Whether it is a great dress with pleats or a skirt with pleats, I love it. Since I already own this cute Black Sheer Top, I think my next addition to my wardrobe will be this skirt. This skirt in particular has such a gorgeous vintage touch to it that I love.
When pairing this all together I would add a cute black belt and fun sandals! This would make a perfect date night outfit when you are strolling the streets at the Music Fest!
Saturday mornings are my favorite! The weekends seem to be the only time where my husband and I get to eat breakfast together, so we usually like to make something special. This past Saturday we made some changes to our favorite recipe and came up with a great recipe for Banana Pancakes that I thought I would share.
Ingredients for Banana Pancakes
1 cup of Whole Wheat or White Flour
3 teaspoons of Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt- I used a little less.
3 tablespoons sugar or Agave
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons butter spread
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1 banana- sliced
Directions for Banana Pancakes
1. Blend the first six ingredients together in a medium size bowl, by hand.
2. Place egg, butter, vanilla, milk into either a blender or food processor and blend for about 30 seconds or so.
3. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture and mix by hand until incorporated.
4. Let batter sit for 5-10 minutes so it can thicken.
5. Pour batter into pan let it cook for a minute or so then put banana slices on and cook for another minute or so until desired and then flip.

I’ve been really trying to make an effort to cook more lately! A few weeks back I was reading my Parenting magazine and came across this recipe for Black Bean and Salsa Sloppy Joes. This past Friday was our Grandma’s 92nd Birthday! We all got together for a little celebrating up near Sarasota where she lives. Happy Birthday Grandma!
