We are back from our buying trip in Chicago and are so excited to share new arrivals with you soon!  Our week was packed with shopping, buying for ChiChi Collections, visiting friends & family and eating out, a lot!

Last Friday we had so much fun participating in the “It’s Your Time to Shine” fashion show event.  Jillian was asked to be one of the models and wore this darling maxi dress, that features a strapless accordion pleat with a bold print. She paired it with this gorgeous black statement necklace and a chic clutch. We also displayed a variety of clothes, handbags, gift items and jewelry from our boutique that were available for purchase before and after the fashion show.  We look forward to next year’s event!

We will be heading off to Chicago for the STYLEMAX apparel show this week! We couldn’t be more excited!! We have never been to this specific show in Chicago and are thrilled to be able to experience it. Attending new shows and markets typically mean meeting lots of new people, seeing some amazing fashion shows and many new clothing lines that we can bring back to ChiChi Collections. Not only is it great fun for us, but great for all of our customers as well.

Additionally this is our old stopping ground, so we are thrilled to be able to see family and friends while we are visiting.  Be on the look our for some great pictures and new items!

This past week we have sprung forward and not just with changing the clocks. This seems to be the time of the year that people start shopping for more color and spring items to add to their wardrobe. That’s exactly what ChiChi Collections is doing too.  We have spring on our radar, for sure!

My brother In-Law and Sister In-Law are in town visiting from St. Louis, which is always a blast and means lots of laughs and quality time together. We had a casual dinner planned, yet I had a long day of work beforehand so I wanted to wear something that could easily transition from the day time to a casual dinner at night. It was pretty warm out during the day, but temperatures were dropping in the evenings so I decided to pair this cute ChiChi Collections cardi with these black (I guess you would call them culottes) actual shorts that look like a skirt(old from Express) with a simple black tank and my recent favorite pink loafers from Target, that I scored for $7.00 a month back.

I love this sweater for its pastel hues and cute detailed silver nautical buttons. It will definitely be a staple item in my wardrobe this spring.

Have you ever wondered what the best way to store your makeup is?  Well I happened upon this idea right after I got married.  My husband and I had received 2 expandable bamboo cutlery trays as gifts and of course we don’t have that much silverware, so I decided to put the other tray to use.  I didn’t like the idea of digging through a basket to try and find my powder or a particular brush, so using this tray to store my makeup was perfect for me. Everything is easy to locate and accessible!  I just store my makeup tray on the shelf in our linen closet and pull it out when I’m ready to apply my makeup!

Yellow is one of my favorite colors. It makes me feel happy, optimistic and inspired!  I was heading to my in-laws for my sister in-laws birthday dinner and chose to wear this new top and of course paired it with some bright yellow accessories and shoes. The top itself is super cute, but I think it’s fun to add a pop of color to just about anything!
