I will admit that I like watching the Kardashian’s. There is something about the fashion, the sister interaction, their clothing business and the drama that keeps me coming back for more. I was surprised when I picked up this little idea from them as I wouldn’t say I watch their shows for educational value. Although this is not extremely relevant to fashion I decided I had to share this sweet idea, in case you didn’t catch it.

To give you a little background on me. I am very much a type A personality and always on the run. My biggest personal struggle is not always being in the moment. (I usually am 10 moments ahead). On one of their shows they mentioned that they always used to say the “Peak” and the “Pit” of each day with their Dad. I absolutely loved this and thought what a great way to communicate with my husband.

My husband and I both work a crazy amount of hours and find that we talk about work a lot. We started sharing our “Peak of the Day” and “Pit of the Day” each night before bed. I really love this because a million things happen throughout the day and it’s near impossible for me to know everything that happens. It’s an amazing moment when we can focus on each other and share our “Peak” and “Pit” of the day.

This past weekend we decided to have some people over as we love to entertain.  We hadn’t really done so since we moved into our new home last September. I guess with the holidays we just got side tracked! I had a blast getting the house ready and spending time in the kitchen. Here are a few of the appetizers we served and the recipe for these great Guacamole Goat Cheese Toasts!

I finally gave in and went for a manicure and pedicure. I love getting pampered as much as the next girl, but finding the time is always a problem. Since we were hosting a little party this past weekend, I thought I would give some extra love to my hands and feet and get one. I usually bring along one of my favorite polishes from our shop, but I decided to try something different. I was excited when I  found a cute little tangerine color and some glitter to change things up. My regular nail lady was booked so I just went with the flow and went with the next available. First mistake!  I will admit I usually don’t have a ton of patience except when getting treats like this, however I was there FOREVER! It looked decent enough and I headed home. Not 4 hours later I started noticing chips.

As I mentioned before we sell nail polish.  This nail polish usually lasts me about 6- 8 days without a chip or top coat. I learned my lesson and am now stocking up in new colors. If you are anything like me you can’t stand wasting money or your time. Try this polish out, there are several different colors available. I think you will love it!

Are you as obsessed with Pinterest as I am? I find hours go by when I am on this website searching for anything related to fashion, food and design. This website allows me to browse all my favorite things and occasionally get inspired for a DIY hobby. I started out on Pinterest for fun and then realized this is another avenue to showcase what my online clothing boutique has to offer. Through this all, I have found that it also helps me see what people “like” at ChiChi Collections by those of you who repin items. It’s always great when business and personal tools can intermix and be fun!

One of my favorite things to do is shop and help others shop! I think that is why I love when we get to host a trunk show after a ladies luncheon and golf outing.  We were so honored when a local Country Club asked us to host a trunk show for a group of 80 women after their member/guest golf outing! It is so much fun when we get to step out from behind our desk and join in on the energy and excitement of these types of events. I have to pinch myself to remind myself that this is my work.

This past weekend was full of fun birthday events! My Mother In-Law, Nephew and Friend all had birthday festivities that we attended. Friday night we celebrated my Mother In-Law’s birthday and I wanted to be cute but relaxed, as it was a very casual night in with family.

As soon as this colorful missoni cardigan arrived I knew it would be a perfect addition for me. As I have mentioned before, I have been trying to add pops of color into my outfits as I usually wear a lot of black. This outfit allowed me to be comfortable with a simple black tank yet add some fun colorful hues with this missoni cardigan! I also love the long length in the front and the cropped back.
